Finca Maputo is nestled in the breathtaking cloud forests of Ecuador’s Pichincha province, near the border with Colombia and right on the equator. The farm is co-owned and operated by Henry and Verena Gaibor, who first met while working with Doctors Without Borders in Burundi, Africa. The couple later managed a clinic together in Maputo, Mozambique—the inspiration behind the name of their future coffee farm.
Since its establishment, Finca Maputo has earned a reputation for meticulous coffee production. Henry and Verena’s dedication to detail and quality has elevated their coffees to an exceptional standard in a remarkably short period, making the farm a rising star in Ecuador’s specialty coffee scene.
